Yogi Smoothie

I’ve always been a picky breakfast eater and have always wanted something easy, yet nutritious and filling enough to get me through my morning.  This is quick and extremely nutritious!!  I have it every morning that I can 🙂

 

Ingredients: Organic Kale, Organic Baby Spinach, Organic Almond Milk, Frozen Strawberries (should be organic if you can) Frozen Mango and Bananas.

 

Now, I know some people don’t like bananas, but the banana makes the entire thing sweet so you are able to have kale and spinach without really noticing!! You can also do the bananas frozen, so I usually use them fresh until they get brownish, then freeze the rest in pieces so it’s easy to blend.

 

Recipe:

1 cup organic almond milk

1 banana (frozen or fresh)

2 large leaves of organic kale (if you are new to kale, just do 1 leaf)

3 heavy handfuls of organic baby spinach

5 frozen strawberries

1/3 cup frozen mango (can substitute with pineapple or peaches depending on what you like – just something a little sweet)

 

Instructions…throw it all in and blend away!!  Blend for at least 1 minute to make sure everything gets blended really well and in super tiny pieces.  You’ll end up with the below:

 

It’s super quick, delicious and healthy..plus you are getting in some veggies early in the morning! check!  I have a Breville blender that works amazing..some cheaper blenders leave pieces of spinach or kale which is gross especially if you are looking to avoid tasting them!
